Visits were made to gyms where the police already know that there are problems with people who use doping substances and where there was a suspicion of crime.

- We see a direct link between doping and other violent crimes such as drug crimes, violence in close relationships, violence in public environments and criminal networks.

With our presence, we want to access crime that exists in these environments, says Felicia Alonzo, the police task leader.

Checks were also made at gyms that have agreed to the requirement that a suspicion is needed to make raids in search of doping substances, as part of keeping gym activities drug-free.

The service dog Molly sniffs for anabolic

For the first time, Sweden's only doping dog also participated, running the spaniel Molly, who has been trained to recognize the smell from testosterone and anabolic steroids, among other things.

- She can only by smelling a person feel the body sweat if a person is doped, says dog handler Joanna Sjöö, who works on behalf of foundation-owned Anti-Doping Sweden.
