“We value our longstanding partnership with Pakistan and have always considered a prosperous and democratic Pakistan to be critical to US interests,” Psaki was quoted as saying by TASS. 

According to her, between Washington and Islamabad there is a "long and strong relationship" that "will continue under new leaders."
