  It is reported that the group of 4 male and 1 female diving tourists rented a speedboat on April 9 and went to the waters of Banlu Island for diving activities, and prepared to dive at noon, and agreed to return to the boat at the original location one hour later.

Because the scheduled time to return to the boat coincided with the low tide time, the two male divers were washed away from the waters of the speedboat by the tide and failed to return to the speedboat in time. At this time, the speedboat operator and other divers launched a search operation in the surrounding waters, but all were in vain.

  The people on the speedboat finally had to sail to the halfway island and ask for help from the garrison on the island, informing them that two of their companions were missing in diving, and then started the speedboat again to the waters with signals to seek assistance from other nearby ships.

Fortunately, when the tide returned, the two missing persons were swept into the waters not far from where they were launched.

  Since there were no other boats passing by or providing rescue nearby, they swam to Banluyu Pier with all their strength and hugged Banluyu Pier tightly. In the end, they were found and rescued by soldiers on the island at about 7:40 on April 9. out of danger.

  Perak Maritime Enforcement Agency chief Sharijan Raman told the media that the agency had received information from the Pangkor Island Police Station that two men were missing while diving.

He said that the two missing persons and three other diving companions boarded a chartered boat for diving activities in Banlu Island and disappeared 0.4 nautical miles east of Banlu Island.

"The boat operators searched the waters for the missing persons for an hour without finding any clues. They were rescued by naval members at the dock and their health was checked."

  He said the two were from Kampong Aceh, Sitiawan, and they were in good health after health checks.
