The Queen of Britain reveals that "Covid-19" left her "very tired and exhausted"

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, who will soon turn 96, revealed her experience with Covid disease during her virtual participation in the opening of a unit bearing her name at the Royal London Hospital dedicated to treating Covid patients.

The Queen spoke via video to the staff who supervised the establishment of the unit, and also listened to the experiences of patients who needed hospitalization after contracting the virus.

In her speech, the Queen indicated that she felt very tired during her infection with Covid-19 last February, saying that it left her "very tired and exhausted", despite her aides reducing the risk of her illness.

Buckingham Palace had announced that the queen, who received the vaccine, suffered from "mild symptoms similar to a cold", but she was forced to cancel a series of meetings with foreign diplomats with the start of celebrations for the seventieth anniversary of her accession to the throne.

And the Queen Elizabeth unit was established at the Royal London Hospital in record time, which took five weeks instead of five months, to deal with the influx of Covid patients.

The Queen told a former patient who needed artificial respiration that the virus "leaves one very tired and exhausted, doesn't it?", describing, according to a video clip published by the royal palace on Sunday, the epidemic as "horrific."

Concerns for the Queen's health have persisted since she spent one night in hospital last October, which the royal palace did not disclose until later.

Her public appearances have become more rare since then, and she has complained of health problems that hinder her movement as her 96th birthday approaches on April 21.

The Queen will not be able to participate in Thursday's Easter mass in Mundi, and she will be represented by her son and heir, Prince Charles, although this occasion was a constant on her agenda in the past.
