As Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen reach the second round of the presidential election, discover the mapping of the candidates' scores, city by city. 

The results of the first round of the presidential election fell on Sunday evening.

Emmanuel Macron (27.6%) and Marine Le Pen (23.4%) are once again both qualified for the second round of the election.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon is in third place with 21.9% of the vote, closely following the candidate of the National Rally after a night of counting which saw the gap narrow.

Jean Luc-Mélenchon is a hit in the big cities

With 40.53% of the vote in Lille, 40.73% in Montpellier or 36.95% in Toulouse, the candidate of rebellious France has made a spectacular breakthrough in the big cities.

He won 31% of the vote in towns with more than 100,000 inhabitants, far ahead of the Head of State (26%) and Marine Le Pen (16%).

The candidate of rebellious France and the head of state are far ahead of Marine Le Pen in medium-sized towns.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon won in Saint-Denis with 61.13%, Emmanuel Macron in Angers with 33.38% and in Dijon with 30.01% of the vote.

In the capital, the leader of La France Insoumise, with 30.09%, is not far behind Emmanuel Macron who obtained 35.33% of the vote for this first round of the presidential election.
