The Popular Party and Vox will work "like a pineapple" at the service of Castilla y León despite their differences.

This is how Alfonso Fernández Mañueco expressed himself at the start of the investiture session this Monday in the Autonomous Courts.

A parliamentary debate that has not had the presence of the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, but with that of Santiago Abascal.

The president of Vox has celebrated the agreement and has called to extend this "alternative" to the national level, through an agreement between the

popular

and Vox that allows the right to reach the Government of Spain.

"We are two different parties, each one has legitimate positions, but we have been able to set an example of responsibility," Mañueco justified during the first minutes of his speech in the Autonomous Chamber.

The governance agreement with Vox has allowed the popular "talk about projects and actions against quotas of power and distribution of seats", which is why he believes that this is the government team that Castilla y León needs.

Thus, the acting president of the Board has defended his proposal "with a plural composition, but with a single voice. Let it work like a pineapple at the service of this land. A government with clear ideas and without complexes".

The first measures launched by Mañueco from the speakers' gallery have also served to appeal to the Government of Pedro Sánchez, who has demanded that he keep his word and lower taxes, as he promised with the regional presidents at the La Palma Conference .

In any case, Mañueco himself has announced an "immediate" reduction in the first tranche of personal income tax in Castilla y León: "My government will take the step," he has announced.

"We will not take a step back"

However, Mañueco has issued a warning to Vox about the creation of a law against Domestic Violence, which will not lead to the repeal of the current regional law against Gender Violence.

"I say it loud and clear: we are going to uphold the Law to Fight Gender Violence. We are not going to take a step back on recognized rights. Far from it," he clarified.

"The two norms are necessary, compatible and complementary", considered the regional leader of the PP, who has announced that the processing of this new norm will take place before July 31.
