  6. Instructions for using the "Chinese Consul" APP

  (1) The "Chinese Consul" APP can be downloaded from the Apple App Store, Tencent App Store, Xiaomi App Store, Huawei App Store or by scanning the QR code in the picture.

After the download is successful, open the APP, use your Chinese mobile phone number or email address to register, complete the real-name authentication according to the prompts, and then you can log in normally.

  (2) APP real-name authentication registration currently only supports Chinese ordinary passport or ID number (other authentication methods may be added in the future).

If you do not have the above-mentioned documents, you can use the account that has been verified by someone else's real name.

  (3) In order to ensure that the application for relevant documents is operated by the applicant, the APP will perform facial recognition on the applicant.

The failure of face recognition does not affect the applicant's submission of the application, but the applicant must complete the face recognition.

  (4) The applicant's photo can only be uploaded online.

If the system is still judged to be unqualified after multiple attempts to upload the photo, the follow-up process can still be continued until the application is submitted.

If it is determined to be unqualified, the order will be rejected and the applicant will be notified to re-upload qualified photos.

  (5) After the order is successfully submitted, the relevant application will be submitted to the embassy for review.

Applicants can track the progress of the certificate application in "My Order" or "Message Center", and the embassy staff will give feedback on the review progress in a timely manner, and leave a message in the APP to request additional upload materials as appropriate.

  (6) The passport applied for through the "Chinese Consul" APP does not contain the applicant's fingerprint information.

The absence of fingerprints does not affect the normal use of the passport. Only when entering China, you cannot self-clearance, and you must go through manual channels.

  (7) At present, the APP has not yet opened for official passport renewal.

  (8) The embassy will not ask the applicant to pay the fee by phone or video.
