In view of the still high number of corona infections, Federal Family Minister Anne Spiegel (Greens) advises corona tests before family reunions at Easter.

“I sincerely wish the families that they can get together at Easter.

I advise everyone to test themselves with a quick test beforehand," Spiegel told the newspapers of the Funke media group.

Anyone arriving by public transport should wear an FFP2 mask there.

"We have 300 corona deaths every day," warned Spiegel.

This is very worrying.

"We should therefore continue to wear masks in all situations in which we have worn them so far," recommended the Green politician.

This is "also a question of solidarity towards the older generation and towards the youngest."

Experts speak of a high number of unreported cases

The Association of Accredited Laboratories in Medicine pointed out that a high rate of infection and a relatively high number of unreported cases can be assumed.

According to the 350,000, there were fewer PCR tests in Germany last week than the week before.

However, the number of positive tests was still high at 53 percent, which indicates that the infection rate is still at a high level.

The association therefore assumes that a significant number of infected people are not tested and are therefore not included in the corona statistics.

The President of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Lothar Wieler, expressed the assessment on Friday that the actual number of corona infections is about twice as high as that officially recorded.

On Saturday morning, the RKI had given the number of new infections registered within one day as 150,675.

The seven-day incidence per 100,000 population fell to 1141.8 from 1181.2 the previous day.

In addition, 309 other deaths from corona infected people were registered within 24 hours.
