On Friday, there are difficult road conditions in several places along the Baltic coast and several accidents have been reported in central Sweden.

If you have summer tires and are in Närke, Västmanland, the Gävle area, northern Uppsala and a little north along the Baltic coast, you should probably consider whether to go out with summer tires at all.

It is not advisable, says Bengt Olsson.

- The properties of summer tires are already starting to disappear at plus five and now we are down on the minus side and we also have a lot of snow and wet ones to relate to in many places.

"All of Sweden is on wheels"

During the weekend and next week, intense traffic days are expected as there are Easter holidays in several parts of the country.

- There are a number of roads that will be quite full of traffic and it is mainly these roads that go up to the ski resorts and then it is also important to keep the winter tires and studded tires if you go up there.

It will be quite intense, because it is a few days that most of Sweden is on wheels.

To reduce the risk of accidents, the Swedish Transport Administration has, among other things, moved snow removal machines from the Östersund area to the Baltic Sea coast.

- North of Gävle, we will close a 2 + 1 road so it will only be 1 + 1.

A direction of travel on the way north before the Easter weekend and a lane south at the end of Easter.

It is between Gävle and Tönnebro.
