The price of villas increased by an average of 5.2 percent in Värmland over the past three months, figures from Swedish Brokerage Statistics show.

The average price for a villa is now SEK 2.4 million.

House prices in Forshaga are rising the most.

- Karlstad is still the engine for the Värmland housing market, but both housing and condominium prices are rising more in Forshaga, Kristinehamn and on Hammarö, says Thobias Green, office manager at Fastighetsbyrån, in a press release.

Condominium prices have fallen in the past year

Condominium prices in Värmland rose by 5.4 percent in the last three-month period but have fallen by 6 percent in the past year.

- Many want to clear their sales before the interest rate is possibly raised and the supply of homes for sale has increased in recent weeks, says Marcus Svanberg, CEO of Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsförmedling.

The statistics are based on sales of 952 Värmland villas and condominiums during the period January to March 2022.
