The Armed Forces on Gotland has so far had a temporary permit in accordance with the Environmental Code for exercise.
The new permit has been delayed due to appeals from neighbors.

The government's decision gives the Armed Forces better conditions to fulfill its mission on Gotland, says Minister of Climate and Environment Annika Strandhäll.
The government writes in its decision that "the number of firing days in the southern and northern part of the firing range is increased and conditions that regulate training times are adjusted to increase flexibility in the permit and thereby create better conditions for the Armed Forces to fulfill their mission on Gotland."
