Twelve soldiers and four volunteers for the defense of the homeland were killed this Friday, April 8 in Namissiguima in the province of Sanmatenga.
Material damage was also recorded.
The attack comes at a time when the armed forces have launched an operation to "depollute" localities in the region.

It was in the early morning of Friday, around 5 a.m., that armed men launched the assault on the camp of the military detachment.
“
It is a complex attack
” which targeted the detachment, notes the staff in a press release.
According to a security source, the assailants first attacked the camp with shells.
Then the shootings followed.
Several soldiers and volunteers for the defense of the homeland, civilian auxiliaries of the armed forces fell during the fight.
Material damage was also recorded.

This attack comes at a time when the armed forces are in a "
depollution
" operation, that is to say to reconquer localities in this region of the Center-North.
According to a security source, around twenty terrorists have already been neutralized.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces ensures that the operations to secure the territory will intensify, in accordance with the vision of the President of Faso.
