It is each school's own responsibility to prepare a crisis plan and decide how they should act in the event of a crisis.

The National Agency for Education can also see a clear trend where schools in the country, to a greater extent than before, want to take part in the authority's support material on these issues.

- I would say that awareness is good and has increased, says Maria Elmer.

No national regulations

There are no national regulations or guidelines for safety drills.

But the National Agency for Education thinks it is important that schools work with different types of situations that may arise.

- It is incredibly important to be prepared and practice on your crisis plan.

Then it can be about both evacuation and evacuation and that everyone should have control of the premises, says Maria Elmér, who puts a lot of pressure on the prevention work and not least on the schools' cooperation with the police and social services.
