The Suyok Border Defense Company of the Xinjiang Military Region stationed here is responsible for the defense mission of nearly 100 kilometers. In the past few days, heavy snow has fallen on the Pamir Plateau, and the officers and soldiers of the company have set foot on the snowy patrol road.
Today (April 7), nine patrol officers and soldiers stationed in a border defense regiment of the Xinjiang Military Region in the westernmost part of the motherland went to an important mountain pass at an altitude of 4,805 meters to conduct routine armed patrols to ensure border security and stability.
The distance of this patrol is more than 30 kilometers. On the way, it has to climb over 4 snow-capped mountains and pass through 33 winding mountain intersections.
The last section of the patrol road has a total of 27 bends. The thick snow has completely covered the road under their feet. The officers and soldiers are struggling to move forward.
