Egypt .. Life imprisonment and aggravation for 14 accused in the case of "returnees from Kuwait"

Today, Thursday, an Egyptian court sentenced 14 defendants to life and rigorous imprisonment in the case known in the media as “Returnees from Kuwait.”
The Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Moataz Khafaji, Head of the Second Circuit Terrorism, held today in the Tora Courts complex, imposed a life sentence against two defendants, 15 years for one defendant, and five years for 11 defendants in the case.
The Supreme State Security Prosecution had referred 14 defendants in connection with the case to state security felonies, the Nozha emergency, because they “became from 2015 to December 2019, inside and outside Egypt, the leadership of a terrorist group, the purpose of which was to call for the disruption of the provisions of the constitution and laws and to prevent state institutions and public authorities from Practicing its activities, attacking the personal freedom of citizens and public liberties and rights, and harming national unity and social peace, and terrorism was one of the means used by this group to achieve its goals.
