The majority of groups in Congress, with one nuance or another, have demanded that the President of the Government "rectify" his blow in relation to the Sahara and communicate this to Mohamed VI tomorrow at the meeting he will hold with him in Rabat.

The parliamentary formations have expressed themselves harshly against Sánchez's background and forms when it comes to unilaterally deciding what many interpret as a "betrayal" of the Sahara and a "violation" of international legality.

The criticism has been substantiated in the debate of a bill signed by United We Can, ERC and Bildu that, in reality, corners the harshest reproach to the Executive in the explanatory statement but not in the operative part of the text that is about what that the Chamber will actually pronounce itself tomorrow, coinciding with the appointment of Sánchez and the Alaouite monarch.

The PNV tries to introduce an amendment in the proposal in which the "disagreement" of Congress with the "unilateral" change decided by the Prime Minister is clearly established.

It is foreseeable that the signatory groups will not accept it in such a way that, in addition to obtaining the favorable vote of the PSOE, they will substantially lower the practically unanimous complaint of the Parliament to the lurch on the Sahara.

Despite everything, a conclusion has emerged from the parliamentary debate: Pedro Sánchez will attend Mohamed VI's invitation without having the support of the majority of Congress.

The interventions of the parliamentary spokesmen have made this clear.

United We Can, the partner of the Government but signatory and main promoter of the initiative against Sánchez's change of position, has reproached his older brother in the Executive for not granting the Saharawi population the same treatment against Morocco that is granted the Ukrainians against Putin.

An example of "hypocrisy", in the words of Gerardo Pisarello for whom it is "unacceptable" that Sánchez dedicate preferential treatment of friendship to Mohamed VI and unilaterally bet on his autonomy plan for the former Spanish colony.

In his opinion, Mohamed VI "is calm because Spain has acted weakly and without clear principles and for this reason," he predicted, "he will not stop pressing."

In short, for United We Can "Spain wins nothing and has a lot to lose."

This group has asked Sánchez for "a rectification and a clear commitment to the Sahara".

"This is the message," Pisarello stressed, "that Sánchez must take to Mohamed VI."

ERC has emphasized the right to self-determination that the Spanish Government "has decided to violate."

"The war in Ukraine cannot hide this betrayal," assured its representative Marta Rosique, who has accused the Executive of violating up to 74 UN resolutions by betting on the Rabat plan.

"Spain supports Morocco imposing its force on the territory and has done it in the worst way possible," she insisted.

"Tomorrow Sánchez is going to Rabat but she will not go with the support of the Chamber", warned the deputy.

Bildu, along the same path, has described the Government's change of position as "injustice" and "political and diplomatic botchedness".

His spokesman Jon Iñárritu has also demanded that Sánchez "rectify" and go with this position to his appointment with Mohamed VI, clarifying that he does not have the support of the Spanish Parliament and that what was transmitted in his letter was nothing but a " mistake".

For Bildu, the Government has become "another Moroccan actor".

The PNV, one of the most belligerent formations in favor of the self-determination of the Sahara, has confirmed that the Government "will do what it wants".

Aitor Esteban has assured that the Government has taken "the side of one party" and against the Saharawi people playing only the trump card of autonomy, which implies "recognizing that the territory of the Sahara is Moroccan".

The Basque nationalists have presented an amendment to the non-law proposal of UP, ERC and Bildu that clearly toughens its content, explaining the "disagreement" of Congress with the "unilateral" turn of the Government.

The signatories of the initiative will study it from here until tomorrow.

Citizens do not accept the turn either.

The orange formation already assumes that amendments will not be accepted because in this way, its deputy Miguel Gutiérrez has denounced, the backs of the Government will be covered.

The orange party will not vote in favor of the initiative of ERC, UP and Bildu because it is a "grotesque".

For the deputy of CC, Ana Oramas, the new position "is not a position of the State, nor of this Parliament, nor of this Government, it is only a position of Pedro Sánchez".

This same argument has also been handled by Vox, a group for which it is unacceptable that the president changes Spanish foreign policy at his own risk and without the knowledge and support of the Chamber.

The PP has focused its criticism on Sánchez's unilateralism, which has even caused one part of the Government to present an initiative against the other part of the Executive.

The popular have denounced the rupture of the historical position of Spain forgetting that it is the affected parties who must reach an agreement without the Spanish Government betting on one side.

The popular have doubted the commitments of Morocco and have lamented the "loss of credibility and prestige" of Spain in the foreign field.

A "painful geopolitical swerve" has assured his representative, who has influenced the problems that the Government's decision has caused with Algeria.

The PP has preferred not to reveal the meaning of its vote.

It will wait until tomorrow to see the final text if any amendments are made to it

The PSOE, in a difficult position, has acknowledged being in agreement with the operative part of the non-law proposal, the most diluted, but against the harshness of the explanatory statement.

The socialists have insisted that the solution for the Sahara must be the one decided by the parties in conflict within the framework of the UN.

However, they have defended "unblocking" the issue and taking it out of the "freezer".

According to the PSOE, the Government "does not try to impose anything" nor does it contravene United Nations resolutions.
