It was on February 15 that the police were alerted to a campsite in Luleå after a man was injured with several stab wounds.
A suspected perpetrator was also arrested on the spot.
The suspect has since the incident been detained for aggravated assault and was charged in March.
Convicted of four crimes
The man was suspected of more crimes and is now sentenced to nine years in prison for:
Attempted murder
Abuse
Damage
Aggravated drunken driving
The 56-year-old must also pay SEK 138,225 in damages, of which SEK 128,375 goes to the victim.
