  • Zelensky Parliament will launch a specific message to Spain in his twelfth speech in a foreign parliament

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, announced this Tuesday that the Government has decided to expel the diplomats and staff of the Russian Embassy in Madrid in rejection of the "barbarism" that is being committed with the civilian population in Ukraine.

This was stated at the press conference after the Council of Ministers, in which Albares reported that Spain thus joins the other European countries that have already made this decision after the "terrible" actions in localities in the "last days " in Bucha or Mariupol.

According to Albares, it is estimated that the expulsion affects some 25 people and that they will have to leave the country in "a few days" because they pose "a threat to the country's security interests" and as a sign of rejection of the war crimes that, according to Spain, are being committed on Ukrainian soil.
