Queen Elizabeth II is hiring.

This is not a position within his close guard but a maintenance worker position, reports

The announcement was released by the Royal House (Royal House), an organization responsible for the proper functioning of services around the royal family.

The exact title of the ad is 'Housekeeping Assistant (Palace of Holyroodhouse)'.

This castle is located in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The successful candidate will be tasked with keeping the Queen's sprawling official residence in Scotland spotless.

“You will maintain, clean and care for a wide range of interiors and items, ensuring they are presented in their best light,” it reads.

Holyroodhouse shouldn't give much respite.

There are several reception rooms, the largest of which exceeds 44 meters in length, notes

.

But the position is not limited to cleaning, since it is also asked to welcome and take “also care of guests during receptions and events”.

9.50 pounds per hour

The person will have to work 32 hours a week, four days a week. The start of the service is set at 7 a.m.

Working for the Queen does not mean earning a fabulous salary.

This reaches 9.50 pounds per hour, or 11.27 euros.

The monthly salary will therefore be almost 1,500 euros per month.

There is a small added benefit, since the cleaner also gets “a 15% contribution from the employer to the pension scheme”.

But compared to the average salary of a cleaner in France, that of the Queen's cleaner is only 58 cents an hour higher.

Applicants have until April 10 to apply.

Applicants are not required to have experience, although it is recommended.

The Royal Household site shows other vacancies for the Royal Family, some of which require different levels of qualification.

There is an offer of physical and technical security adviser, a collections management assistant or a ticketing and sales department manager.
