Snow and slipperiness were the road conditions that many Kronoberg residents woke up to on Tuesday morning.

Several accidents have occurred.

On road 25, an accident occurred with a truck at the height of Hjortsberga outside Alvesta, the truck has overturned, the road is remote and according to the Swedish Transport Administration, the road is expected to open at 8.30.

- Traffic is redirected and salvage is expected, says David Högberg, officer on duty at the rescue service's command center.

Shortly after 8 o'clock, the Swedish Transport Administration announces that there is now instead limited traffic past the site.

One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance.

On road 25, a car drove into the center guardrail on the stretch between Växjö and Alvesta at 8 o'clock, according to the police, the place is very slippery.

On road 30 north of Växjö at the height of Ör, a traffic accident occurred at 7 o'clock.

- It is a car that has slipped into the ditch just south of Ör.

No injuries were reported and traffic is rolling by alternately.

Outside Rottne, a car and a garbage truck collided on road 897, traffic being affected past the site during the morning.

Just before 6 o'clock, a car drove into the ditch on highway 25 between Växjö and Risinge, according to the police, the place is slippery.

According to information from the Rescue Service, there are no reports that any person was seriously injured in the accidents.

- Between 7-10 accidents, the rescue service handled during the morning, but then several occurred where we did not have to go out, says David Högberg.
