Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said North Korea's ballistic missile capabilities pose a real threat to the US mainland.

"North Korea's continued testing and development of weapons poses a real threat to the continental United States and its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific," Milley said in a written document submitted to the House Armed Services Committee.

U.S. cyber commander Paul Nakasone also said in a document submitted to the Senate that North Korea is a cyber adversary with increasing sophistication and willingness to act, with cyber capabilities such as hacking and cryptocurrency theft improving.
