It is believed that the US military will launch the interceptor missile "Patriot" for the first time in a joint military exercise in the Philippines, with the aim of appealing its ability to respond in anticipation of an emergency in the South China Sea and Taiwan.

The U.S. and Filipino troops are conducting joint military exercises for 12 days until the 8th of this month, with 8,900 people from both sides participating, which is the largest ever.

According to the U.S. military, the interceptor missile "Patriot" was launched at the landing training held in the northern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines on the 29th of last month.

The video released by the US military shows a large special ship called an air-cushion boat riding on a sandy beach and a vehicle loaded with missile launchers and the like landing.

No test shots were made, but this is the first time that the "Patriot" has been put into an exercise in the Philippines.

The missile was brought from the US military Sasebo base in Nagasaki prefecture.

The place where the training was conducted is a sandy beach facing Taiwan and China across the sea, and it is believed that the US military has the aim of appealing its readiness in anticipation of an emergency in the South China Sea and Taiwan.
