To date, more than 2,500 people have died in covid-19 in Sweden's intensive care units.

The differences between the regions have been large when it comes to the proportion of covid patients who survived.

For Rune Larsson, it ended happily.

Possibly he was extra lucky because he belongs to the Jönköping County Region - whose IVA care managed the pandemic best in Sweden.

Assignment review is with him when he returns to the intensive care unit at the hospital in Värnamo for an emotional meeting.
