It's Tuesday night at Smörlyckans IP in Lund.

The summer time is only a few days old and Lund SK's boys team born in 2010/2011 will just start the week's first training.

- There are unusually many here today, I wonder why, says one of the mothers who is leaning against the fence next to the replacement bench at the sports field.

Started playing after a few days in Sweden

One of the players in the team that gathers around the center circle is called Ihor Vorobchak.

Together with his mother and sister, he had to leave his life in his hometown of Ivano-Frankivsk to escape the war-torn Ukraine and come to Sweden.

After a few days in Sweden, the family came in contact with Lunds SK.

- It feels great to be here and play football again.

I have made some new friends and am trying to learn to speak a little Swedish, he says.

Coach Claudio Bermejo says that Ihor is one of several new guys who have arrived in recent weeks and believes that it can help him get into the group.

- We have had guys from many different countries who have come here and trained with us in recent weeks, so I think Ihor will fit in well with the team, says coach Claudio Bermejo.

Welcome by teammates

The teammates are also happy about the new addition.

- I have told it today in school and think it is quite exciting how he makes friends and develops the language, says Erik Hansen.

- It is good that we have more in the team and we will win more matches.

And yes, that we almost save a child, or give him an activity, says Thorbjörn Eli Birgisson.

When asked who the favorite player is, the main character's answer comes as quickly as it goes without saying.

- Shevchenko.

Andriy Shevchenko.
