A

10-year-old boy

was stabbed to death by his father this Sunday in the Valencian town of

Sueca

in a new case of vicarious violence.

The minor had spent the weekend with the 47-year-old man, who was separated from the mother on whom he had a

restraining order

in force for

ill-treatment

issued by the local Court of Violence against Women.

The alert voice was given at noon by the woman herself when she went to her ex-partner's home to pick up the child and no one would open the door.

At that time she has called the Emergency Department and the Civil Guard has appeared at the scene, who, upon entering the house, found the lifeless body of the child.

The weapon that the man would have used to perpetrate the crime would have been a large

kitchen knife

, according to sources from the Civil Guard.

The minor, 10 years old, was the only son of the couple, of Spanish nationality, who was separated.

The mother, aged 44,

She has had to be treated for an

anxiety attack

and is admitted to the Hospital de La Ribera.

The Civil Guard is now investigating how the minor could be at the father's house despite the restraining order and what was the

visitation regime

established in the divorce decree, or if the mother allowed these meetings.

For his part, the detainee is being held at the Valencia Civil Guard barracks awaiting trial.
