Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan called on Pakistanis to protest tomorrow in all cities to reject what he called "conspiracies against the government", and talked about an attempt to change the regime in the country.

Khan accused the United States, and said that what was going on was a blatant interference in Pakistan's internal politics.

The Pakistani prime minister used a defiant tone ahead of a no-confidence vote in parliament on Sunday that could remove him from power after four years.

And yesterday, Friday, Khan revealed that his country had handed over an official note to the US mission in Islamabad in protest of its interference in the country's affairs.

"It is now clear that the plot has foreign links and we have lodged a protest with the US embassy," Khan said - in an interview with ARY News late Friday.

Khan confirmed that the United States has been plotting against him since he visited Moscow and met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Imran Khan defended his visit to Moscow, which he made on the day the Russian war on Ukraine began, which angered Western countries.

He said, "European leaders themselves went to Russia, but Pakistan in particular is asked, 'Why did you go there'? As if we were their servants."

Khan and both the foreign and information ministers said - in separate statements - that the US side had been informed of Pakistan's rejection of the US attempt to interfere in its internal affairs.

Earlier yesterday, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry summoned the acting US ambassador to protest against the United States' support for the opposition's efforts to overthrow Prime Minister Imran Khan, who accused the West of working to bring him down because he refused to line up against Russia.

The White House denied that the United States was seeking to remove Imran Khan from power.

Supporters of Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party staged demonstrations in various cities on Friday, and some of them posted on social media videos in which the American flag was burned.

The Pakistani government announced on Saturday that an investigative committee would investigate the "foreign plot".

On Saturday, Pakistan expressed its deep concern over the war between Russia and Ukraine, reiterating its call for an immediate ceasefire between the two countries.

This came according to what was reported by the local "Geo News" channel, on the authority of the Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, in a speech he delivered at the Islamabad Security Dialogue meeting.

On his country's relations with Russia, the Pakistani general said that his country had enjoyed cold relations for a long time for many reasons, but recently there have been some positive developments in this regard.
