Overseas Network, April 2. According to Taiwan's United News Network, Luo Yijun, deputy head of the medical response team of the Taiwan Command Center, confirmed on the 2nd that there was one case of XE mutant strain in Taiwan.

The case is a female who entered the Czech Republic on March 18, and was found to be positive after a landing test, which is an asymptomatic case.

The XE variant is a recombinant of two Omicron subtype strains.

According to Taiwanese media, there is very little information about the strain at present, and it is difficult to know whether the transmission rate of the XE strain is high, and continuous observation is required.
