Since the beginning of this year, North Korea's top nuclear representatives from the United States, the United States and China are meeting in the United States one after another as North Korea continues to raise the level of armed protests.

The U.S. State Department announced that Seong Kim, the Indonesian ambassador to Indonesia, who also serves as the special representative for North Korea, will travel to the United States from the 3rd to 7th to meet with US government officials and others to discuss various issues related to North Korea.

Representative Kim is scheduled to hold a meeting with Roh Gyu-deok, head of the Korean Peninsula Peace Relations Headquarters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 4th.

On the 24th of last month, on the day of North Korea's intercontinental ballistic missile launch, he spoke on the phone with Roh, and on the 28th of last month, he held a three-way wired consultation with the North Korean nuclear chiefs of South Korea and Japan.

One of the highlights of Kim's schedule is the part the State Department announced that he will meet with China's chief representative for North Korea's nuclear program, Liu Shaoming, special representative for Korean Peninsula affairs.

Amidst the conflict between the United States and China over various issues such as economy and security, Representative Ryu visits the United States to discuss North Korea issues, attracting attention.

In particular, the United States is trying to strengthen sanctions and pressure from the international community in response to North Korea's provocations, but China and Russia, who hold the key, show uncooperative attitudes, so it seems to be an opportunity to order cooperation from China.

However, it is unclear how productive the results will be, saying China is also responsible for North Korea's armed protests and demanding sanctions relief from the US.

It is known that there are no three-way meetings scheduled with the chief representatives of Korea and China during President Kim's visit to the US.
