A tragedy was surely narrowly avoided on Wednesday afternoon in the Parc de Maurepas in Rennes.
While playing football with friends, a 13-year-old teenager suddenly collapsed on the lawn shortly before 5:30 p.m., victim of a heart attack.
Luckily, two general practitioners who were passing by witnessed the scene and immediately rushed to help him.
They gave him a cardiac massage before the arrival of the firefighters and the Samu.
Using a defibrillator, the emergency services then shocked him to restart his heart.
The boy was then transported in absolute urgency to the Sud hospital in Rennes.
