Riyadh consultations begin to discuss current issues..and militias fail on the fronts

On its second day, the Yemeni-Yemeni Riyadh consultations witnessed the formation of 6 specialized committees on the six axes that were raised in the consultations, namely, "the political, the economic, the military, the social, the media, and the humanitarian."

According to sources in the consultations, six rooms have been allocated for those committees, whose members range from 40 to 50 participating members representing various political, social, economic, media components, research centers and civil society organizations in Yemen, numbering 16 components.

The sources stated that each committee will hold its work in conjunction with the rest of the committees, to discuss the issues raised in each axis, and to come up with a vision on the most important issues, before putting them up for discussion, and then start formulating solutions for them.

Sources from within the consultations confirmed that the second day was devoted to the start of discussing the current issues, to come up with a vision of the prominent challenges on the Yemeni arena, which will be put on the table, and discussed with the Yemeni government next Monday, according to the agenda of the consultations.

The sources stated that next Tuesday, solutions to these issues will begin to come out with an integrated formula and vision to solve the issues that were raised according to the six axes, stressing the existence of acceleration processes to develop a vision and perception of those issues by the participants.

On the other hand, Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdul-Malik said that the terrorist Houthi militia accepted the invitation to participate in the Riyadh consultations and stop military operations, with more terrorist escalation and mobilization on the fronts, calling on the international community to pressure them to stop violence and abide by the peace path, according to the official Saba News Agency.

For his part, the Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Army, Lieutenant-General Saghir bin Aziz, confirmed, in a tweet on "Twitter", the commitment of the Yemeni forces, tribesmen and the local resistance supporting them, to the call of the brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council to stop hostilities, pointing out that the militias did not abide by any covenant. Or an invitation to peace because that affects its existence and survival, according to him.

Meanwhile, field sources said that the Houthi militias failed to achieve any field progress during the past hours, despite the crowds that pushed them to the fronts of Marib, Hajjah and Taiz.

In Taiz, well-informed sources reported the success of tribal mediation with the conclusion of a deal to release 12 prisoners, 6 from the army, and 6 from the Houthis.

In Hodeidah, the security sector of the joint forces announced the overthrow of two terrorist cells affiliated with the Houthi militia, in the liberated areas, affiliated with the so-called "preventive security" of the Houthis, tasked with the tasks of targeting the leaders of the joint forces and social figures on the west coast.

In Al-Bayda, a child died and another was injured as a result of the explosion of a mine left behind by the militias in the "Al Hamiqan" area in the Al-Zaher district.
