Medvedev: Ukraine looks like a 'delicious bite' to Warsaw

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, asserted in an article for the agency "Sputnik Polska" (Sputnik Poland) that the territory of Ukraine seems like a tasty morsel enough for Warsaw, noting that Poland is exploiting anti-Russian rhetoric to hide its intentions.

In his article, Medvedev said: "On the one hand, the territory of Ukraine seems like a tasty morsel enough for Warsaw. Polish television shows, without any qualms, a map of the division of this miserable country, after the annexation of a number of its western provinces to Poland."

He added that "this is clearly impossible to achieve in a legal way, which is strongly rejected by the Ukrainians, as well as condemned by Poland's other European neighbors. But Warsaw has a method that has proven useful for a long time: pouring honey into cups, instead of medicine." Bitter, justifying its ill-intentioned actions. To do this, Poland subtly resorts to anti-Russian rhetoric, turning it each time into hysteria."

Medvedev recalled that the Polish elites used to hold Russia responsible for all the misfortunes that it had suffered over the ages, noting that it seemed that they (i.e. the Ukrainian elites) hoped that such arguments would be able in advance to justify their actions before the world Whole.
