- We have been informed that several emergency housing will be closed down, but we take it easy, says Martina Gustafsson, acting head of the establishment unit in Uppvidinge municipality.
In recent weeks, several people in Uppvidinge municipality have become involved and lined up to quickly get to the emergency accommodation for Ukrainian refugees.
In the accommodation in Älghult, the beds are already made and the rooms are equipped with refrigerators, glasses and crockery and welcome signs in Ukrainian.
But so far not a single Ukrainian refugee has arrived.
The situation may change
But just because the forecast now shows a reduced need for housing, the reality can change quickly, says Martina Gustafsson.
Therefore, the municipality will leave the accommodation ready until further notice.
- Much can still be changed around the refugee issue, the accommodation is ready to receive Ukrainian refugees.
