The rains, snowfalls, wind and coastal phenomena will affect a

dozen autonomous communities this Wednesday, on the day in which the arrival of the

Ciril

storm is expected throughout the afternoon

, which will cause a

strong temperature drop as well as of the snow level

, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

Specifically, the AEMET has warned

Barcelona and Gerona about rainfall,

where the rains may accumulate

in one hour, reports Europa Press.

In addition, it has also activated the yellow warning for

snowfall in Asturias, Cantabria, León, Palencia, Burgos and La Rioja.

The snow level will be in the northern mountains between 1,000/1,600 meters and will drop in the Cantabrian, northern Iberian and western Pyrenees to 500/900 meters;

in the Central and southern Iberian system it will be between 1,400/1,600 meters and will drop to 1,000/1,200 meters, in the North Plateau between 1,100/1,600 meters and in the Penibetic between 1,500/1,800 meters.
