U.S. and Russian astronauts return to Earth in Russian "Soyuz" spacecraft

  Xinhua News Agency, Los Angeles, March 30 (Reporter Tan Jingjing) American astronaut Mark van der Hai and two Russian astronauts returned to Earth from the International Space Station on the Russian "Soyuz" spacecraft on the 30th.

Van der Hey spent 355 consecutive days on the International Space Station, becoming the longest consecutive American astronaut on the International Space Station.

  According to NASA, Van der Hey and Russian astronauts Peter Dubrov and Anton Shkaplerov left the world at 3:21 EST (15:21 Beijing time) on the 30th. The space station, landed safely near Jez Kazgan, Kazakhstan at 7:28.

  Van der Hey is on a mission to the International Space Station on April 9, 2021.

Before returning to Earth, Van der Hey spent 355 consecutive days on the International Space Station, becoming the longest consecutive American astronaut on the International Space Station.

Previously, American astronaut Scott Kelly spent 340 consecutive days on the International Space Station.

This is Van der Hey's second trip to the International Space Station, and his cumulative stay in space is 523 days.

  NASA said that researchers can observe and study the impact of long-term work and life in the space environment on the human body by staying in space for a long time, and prepare for future missions to the moon and explore Mars.
