- This is a new approach.

The fraudster often wants the person to log in to their bank because there is an unpaid debt or the like.

In this case, the fraudster has said that you should get money and that is nice, and then it can attract more to log in, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, spokesman for the police region Mitt.

Offers a refund or discount

According to the police, the fraudster who calls claims to be from a well-known Swedish telephone company.

Hen wants the caller to log in via Bank ID to be able to get a refund of SEK 1,600 or receive a discount.

Attempted fraud has, however, stopped at just attempts.

- We have received most reports, and there is certainly a large number of blackouts, but no one we have been in contact with has gone on this simply.

That's good, says Klarin and continues:

- The fraudsters are very skilled.

It is important as a relative to inform the elderly that this exists and occurs.

You should never log in to Bank ID if something asks for it.
