As a result, the NHK budget has been approved by the Diet.
NHK's budget for fiscal year 4 of Reiwa is 68.9 billion yen for both business revenue and business expenditure, and due to the effects of the spread of the new corona infection, reception fee revenue will be 1.3 billion yen less than the previous year, but it will be more efficient. We are proceeding with structural reforms such as reviewing operating expenses due to the conversion of the budget, and the budget is balanced.
The budget includes
▽ development of new programs for the realization of "new NHK-ness",
▽ "protecting lives and livelihoods" coverage, strengthening of dissemination of local information,

▽ even on TV connected to the Internet. Necessary expenses are included in the expansion of services that enable viewing of "NHK Plus".
This NHK budget was voted at the House of Councilors plenary session on the 30th, and was approved by the majority of the LDP, the Constitutional Democratic Party, the Komeito Party, the Democratic Party for the People, and the Social Democratic Party.
On the other hand, the Nippon Ishin no Kai, the Communist Party, the Reiwa Shinsengumi, and the party that protects the people who do not pay the NHK reception fee opposed.
The NHK budget was approved by the House of Representatives on the 25th of this month, which means that it was approved by the Diet.
