The Basque association Alda is mobilizing for several client tenants of the real estate agency Homies Holidays in Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).

The association visited the site on Tuesday.

She accuses the intermediary of having embezzled leases and has the six tenants of a house sign a backdated notice.

The objective would be to force them to leave the premises by June to allow a summer rental for four months, explains Actu Pays Basque.

Authorities alerted

The lease began on October 2, 2021 and was to run until October 1, 2022. Alda indicates that the documents were witnessed by a bailiff.

The facts were reported to the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations (DDPP), and to the General Directorate for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention (DGCCRF).

Alda reports that the prefect would have asked for verification.

The association also asked the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) to cancel the agency's real estate card.

Alda asked tenants in a similar situation to contact her.
