The National Police and the Civil Guard have once again pulverized the main marijuana plantations in the Cañada Real Galiana in Madrid.

The agents have managed to sweep

22 plots and warehouses in sectors 3 and 4 where 18,000 cannabis plants were grown

thanks to the fact that the traffickers stole the light from four electricity company turrets.

Police sources assure that it is the main raid carried out in the history of the

drug settlement

located between Vallecas and Rivas.

This

marijuana

empire was run by

the Boar clan,

which supplied Chinese drug mafias that exported the drug to Europe, according to investigators.

In the operation, 44 people have been arrested and 24 firearms, 56,881 euros in cash and

high-end vehicles valued at 500,000 euros

have been seized , according to the Madrid Police Headquarters and the Madrid Command.

The Municipal Police also intervened chickens, goats and sheep found in the plots, a total of almost 50 animals.

All those arrested are accused of their alleged involvement in the crimes of drug trafficking, electricity fraud, money laundering and illegal possession of weapons.

In the shacks, the detainees had luxury appliances such as state-of-the-art ovens and refrigerators.

In addition,

they had bought

four electricity transformers that were hooked up to electricity towers through a sophisticated assembly

that guaranteed them that they would not suffer the power cuts that continue to affect other sectors of the Cañada Real as a result of their illegal activity.

After the macroredada, the City Councils of Madrid and Rivas Vaciamadrid

have demolished 14 illegal constructions taking advantage of the demolition files

already instructed.

The start of the investigation of the National Police, specifically the UDYCO of Madrid, began a year ago when the proliferation of marijuana crops in the Cañada Real Galiana was discovered.

They managed to identify the people who made up the upper echelon of the well-known

clan of the Boars

, including its leader.

In turn, the Civil Guard began to investigate the same family clan in July of last year.

Both bodies began

a joint investigation in collaboration with the Anti-Drug Prosecutor's Office of the Community of Madrid.

The investigations determined that the Jiménez Bruno couple and several of their sons from the Jabalíes clan bought plots adjacent to theirs.

In the case of not being able to acquire

them, they dedicated themselves to extorting and threatening the residents so that they would abandon them,

according to the Police.

Then they offered the land to different people to charge them a rent for the land (2,000 euros per month) and the tenants promised to take charge of the plantations inside.

The land was used for the cultivation and drying of marijuana, and its care was entrusted to different people in the family circle.

Last Friday, March 18, the

entry and registration of 22 plots was agreed.

The agents used radials and battering rams to access the

indoor

crops .

During the intervention, the 18,000 plants and firearms were seized.

There were almost 80 identified and 44 arrested.

On behalf of the National Police, members of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade, the San Blas Police Station, the Provincial Citizen Security Brigade, the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), the Operational Group of Technical Interventions (GOIT), Canine Guides, Air Media and Cavalry.

Likewise, on behalf of the Civil Guard, the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police, the Reserve and Security Group (GRS of Madrid and Zaragoza, as well as the Cavalry Squadron), the Citizen Security Unit of the Command (USECIC), a helicopter, the Central Cynological Unit (money detection dogs), the Cynological Group of the Comandancia (anti-drug dogs) and Rivas Citizen Security patrols.

The police operation has once again shown that

the power outage problems are related to the gigantic marijuana plantations that exist in the area

.

The National Police and the Civil Guard dismantle the crops, but after a few months other clans return to illicit activity.
