Due to several health concerns, Queen Elizabeth II had not appeared in public for six months.

All dressed in gray, she reappeared this Tuesday afternoon for a religious ceremony in tribute to Prince Philip, her husband who died last year.

A return to the front of the stage that his subjects were watching.

Relieved Britons.

At almost 96 years old, the Queen of England Elizabeth II made her reappearance this Tuesday in London.

Weakened by a mild Covid-19 and various health problems, she had canceled several engagements in recent months.

In the cathedral, during the mass in tribute to prince Philip, the guests were reassured to see her present.

"We thought we would see her going up the cathedral, but she went through a side entrance. Certainly to avoid any stress. It must have been a hard day for her. I myself was moved. Prince Philip was an example, he did so much for us", explains Mike, a Briton present at the ceremony.

A brief appearance

The queen now walks with a cane and finds it difficult to stand for long.

Last October, she was hospitalized, then put on forced rest by her doctors and never resumed the same rhythm as before.

But she really wanted to be here today.

In front of the cathedral, Valérie and Allison are in awe.

"It gives us confidence. Like everyone, she has days without and days with. But the fact that she is still able to be present at such events is wonderful. It makes me so proud to our monarchy", confide the two young women.

Almost the whole family was present at the homage ceremony.

The only downside: the absence of Harry and Mégane.

The couple criticize the government for no longer funding their security in the UK, which officially would have prevented them from coming.
