The number of Covid-19 cases has further increased on a rolling average over a week, and the number of people admitted to critical care with the coronavirus is also on the rise, according to figures released Monday by health authorities.

Nearly 30,000 additional cases

The laboratories recorded 29,455 cases of contamination, around 5,000 more than last Monday (24,179).

The rolling seven-day average stands at 128,241, compared to 127,488 the day before and 89,763 the previous Monday.

The situation is deteriorating slightly in hospitals with regard to critical care admissions (174 against 124 a week ago).

On the other hand, the total number of Covid-positive people in critical care is decreasing compared to a week ago (1,533 against 1,632).

Nearly 55 million people vaccinated

Hospitals have identified 21,073 patients with Covid-19 (20,706 last Monday), including 1,694 new admissions (against 1,401).

149 deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours at the hospital (162 seven days ago).

A total of 141,821 people have died from Covid in France since the start of the epidemic.

With regard to vaccination, a total of 54.25 million people have received at least one injection (80.5% of the total population), 53.34 have a complete vaccination schedule (79.1%) and 39.49 million received a booster dose.
