Cairo -

At a time when most countries of the world are easing restrictions related to the Corona virus, the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments denied easing restrictions on mosques in the coming month of Ramadan and confirmed the application of the same precautionary measures, which it applied during last Ramadan.

Although Egypt announced on more than one occasion, and through official officials, its success in confronting the pandemic and its approach to returning to normal life, and taking a number of measures accordingly, the Ministry of Awqaf ignored this and continued to tighten restrictions on worshipers.

The ministry said, in an official statement, that dealing with the effects and repercussions of the spread of the Corona virus, in mosques, will be the same as last year’s controls, from holding prayers and Friday sermon as it is now and which took place last year, and performing prayers as it was done last year with the same procedures Spacing and reducing, so that the duration of the Qiyam prayer is within half an hour immediately after the Isha prayer.

It is expected that it will be completely finished by the summer, he said.
