In view of the devastation and the suffering of millions of people in Ukraine, more and more auction houses are holding charity auctions for the benefit of the people in the country invaded by Russian troops.

In Munich, for example, Ketterer spontaneously turned its monthly online auction "Printastic" into a charity and donated all buyers' money.

In this way, 45,000 euros were raised for the Save the Children organization in Ukraine.

The auction house has suspended trading with customers from Russia.

Grisebach in Berlin is also distancing itself from Russian customers and is auctioning 33 works of art by contemporary artists online from April 1 to 10 under the title "Artists for Ukraine", for example a picture by Eliza Douglas and Anne Imhof with an upper estimate of 60,000 euros.

The surcharge will be donated to the aid organization Be an Angel, which was initiated by Berlin artists and is currently particularly committed to helping refugees from Ukraine in Moldova.

More than 100 works from the collection of Karlheinz and Agnes Essl will be up for auction online at the Dorotheum in Vienna until March 31 as part of a charity auction.

On offer is a painting shirt by Hermann Nitsch, which started at 10,000 euros.

In addition to numerous unique pieces, there is also a wide range of graphics by Oskar Kokoschka and Neo Rauch, among others.

All proceeds go to the Diakonie.

The auction house Lempertz in Cologne is auctioning off a painting by Jérémie Queyras in which the artist visualizes a concert by his father, the cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras, in aid of the Ukraine aid.

On June 2, the acrylic painting will be offered pro bono as part of the contemporary art auction.

The estimated price is 5000 euros.
