Young Emirati painter Rawda Al Mazrouei caught the attention of Expo 2020 Dubai visitors, through a live drawing in the "Youth Pavilion", who did not hesitate to support and praise her with encouraging words that had a great impact on her performance.

Rawda, who prefers drawings that express her feelings and is inspired by a story, confirmed that special drawing requests were poured into her, which contributed greatly to its spread and held her with greater responsibility to enhance her artistic potential, noting that her participation in the "Expo Dubai" is a unique opportunity, because the exhibition It is a global platform that supports young talents and inspires many.

Rawda, 19, said that the support she received in the largest international event in the region exceeded her expectations and was greater than she imagined, adding to "Emirates Today": "I had the encouragement of many, and the most prominent impact was the participation of a child in drawing and her eagerness to take a picture with me." .

The young artist joined the "Youth Lights" initiative launched by the Federal Youth Foundation in an effort to embrace young talents in the field of art, and to provide an integrated digital art platform that forms a bridge of communication between artists and the public, within the activities of the youth pavilion at the "Expo Dubai", which aims to introduce young people's skills and their accomplishments.

In addition to her participation in the international event, Al Mazrouei participated in several exhibitions and projects, including the exhibition of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, the exhibition of the Emirates Society for Fine Arts in Sharjah, and a solo exhibition at the Dubai Racing Club.

She confirmed that she started drawing at the age of 13 when she was a student at the Emirates National School, which gave her the opportunity to develop and enhance her talent, especially in her fine arts course.

Rawda noted that her first source of inspiration is her mother, who does not hesitate to support and encourage her towards development and success, as well as her family members who are keen to visit the exhibitions in which she participates.

Regarding the difficulties she is facing, she said: "Achieving a balance between studying and practicing my talent in the field of painting, both require time and energy."

Rawda Al Mazrouei participated in the “Cloud Spaces” exhibition for the fiftieth National Day, the “Cloud Spaces” exhibition for the International Artist’s Day, as well as in the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, and the Emirati Women’s Exhibition at the Gulf Art Museum, which is the first digital art museum dedicated to displaying the works of Gulf artists and photographers. and residents of the Gulf, in cooperation with Dubai Festival City, to display the work of regional artists and photographers on the largest permanent display in the world.

It also participated in 2019 in the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, and in 2018 in the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival, and won first place in the Architectural Pavilion Award in Abu Dhabi Art last year.
