The Kremlin responds to Biden's description of Putin as a "butcher"

The TASS news agency quoted a Kremlin spokesman as saying on Saturday that new statements made by US President Joe Biden about his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin narrow the prospects for reforming relations between the two countries.

Biden described Putin as a "butcher" during a visit to NATO member Poland and said he was not sure Russia was changing its strategy in Ukraine despite it faltered in some areas.

Moscow denies targeting civilians during what it described as a "special military operation" that it launched in Ukraine on February 24.
