Ragaei Attia, head of the Egyptian Bar Association, dies in court

Lawyer Ragai Attia, head of the Egyptian Bar Association and head of the Arab Lawyers Union, died on Saturday at the age of 84, as a result of a sudden illness while he was in the South Giza Court.

A number of lawyers and members of the Syndicate Council announced the death of the captain after he fell ill while attending the lawyers' trial before the North Giza Criminal Court.

Responsible sources said that Attia fell into a sudden fainting while he was inside the Imbaba Criminal Court in Giza Governorate.

Lawyers circulated on social media a picture of the moment Rajaei Attia fell while he was inside the court.

The pioneers of social networking sites also circulated paragraphs of a prayer and soliloquy that Ragai Attia published, on Saturday morning, on his page on the “Facebook” website, under the title “Association with loved ones.”

And the late captain of the lawyers says in that monologue: "In the name of God, we receive this morning the dew...we open our hearts with our eyes, we purify ourselves from impurities, and we rise with our souls to the horizons of guidance and faith.

He concluded the sermon by saying: "Our Lord.. you have promised us and your promise, O God, is true, and we are on what you have commanded.. O God, feed us from the greens of Paradise, and give us water on the Day of Judgment from the sealed nectar, O the best of those who are asked and the best of those who answer.. O Lord."
