The official Hebrew channel Kan reported that Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will arrive in Israel on Sunday to participate in a political summit on Monday that will include his counterparts from America, the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco and Israel.

The channel added that Shoukry will spend the night in Israel in a hotel with the foreign ministers, and that he will participate in the six-party summit on Monday.

The channel indicated that there are advanced talks with Jordan regarding the accession of Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to the summit.

It is expected that Safadi will be in Ramallah on Monday, to meet Palestinian leaders, and it is unclear whether he will join the summit in Israel or not, according to the same source.

And Israel had announced earlier that it would host a diplomatic summit with the participation of representatives from the United States, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

Kan quoted the former head of the Israeli Defense Ministry's Political and Security Division, Amos Gilad, as saying that the upcoming summit is another evidence of an alliance that has been formed in the Middle East.

The agenda of the summit has not yet been announced, but it comes in light of reports that the nuclear talks in Vienna between Iran and the major powers will lead to an agreement, amid Israeli opposition.
