The dispute between Winfried Kretschmann and his Health Minister Lucha shows how carelessly the prospect of an endemic corona situation is being dealt with.
However, the frivolity lies in the consequence of the change in the Infection Protection Act, which the federal states have also agreed to.
If corona measures only have to be taken at focal points, we are already a long way from an epidemic.
Politicians like Lucha show that they are deluding themselves by accepting entire federal states as focal points.
Then we are right in the middle of the epidemic again and of national importance.
With so much Corona bullshit, it is difficult for ordinary people to understand the situation we are in.
The number of deaths and infections is increasing, but we are still a long way from overburdening the health system.
Since the proportion of unvaccinated deaths is very high, there is a clear, simple way out.
Karl Lauterbach and Lothar Wieler would therefore do well to point this out again and again.
It is again the case that large parts of the vulnerable groups are insufficiently vaccinated.
And it is still the case that the vaccination rate is generally too low.
But persuasion seems futile.
Should loosening therefore be avoided?
Winfried Kretschmann cannot want that either.
