In its highest scenario, the Swedish Migration Agency has estimated that more than 212,000 refugees can come to Sweden from Ukraine.
Until yesterday, one tenth of this number had sought protection in Sweden: 21,262 people.
Many people acquire housing on their own, but the need for emergency housing is still considered to be very great.
Two weeks ago, the county administrative boards made a quick survey of emergency evacuation accommodation, which resulted in finding 14,300 places that could be put in order at very short notice.
This time, the mission has been broader.
It is still a question of temporary accommodation, but the survey has been going on for two weeks and it is enough if the places can be put in order "within a reasonable time".
The government's decision stated that, for example, they were looking for "apartments, hostels, campsites, holiday facilities, sports halls and warehouses that can be prepared for temporary accommodation."
Land would also be inventoried "which may be relevant for the establishment of temporary housing".
