- The task we were given was to ask for everything.

Everything from available land to apartments or campsites.

High and low.

Now the municipalities have included everything, so there are significantly more places, says Carin Lamme Lindh, director of community development at the county administrative board in Kronoberg.

Lessebo has no places: "We can not solve that"

The only municipality in both counties that states that they can not offer a single emergency accommodation for Ukrainian refugees is Lessebo municipality.

- The requirement set by the Swedish Migration Agency is that it must be furnished with beds, bedding, towels and that it must be able to provide food three times a day.

We can not solve that, says Patrik Itzel, emergency preparedness and safety coordinator at Lessebo municipality.

Another difficulty is that right now it is difficult to get beds for the many empty rooms that in theory could be used as refugee dormitories.

- We could go to IKEA and buy bedding but there are no beds to buy there, nor at Jysk or similar, says Patrik Itzel.

On the other hand, the municipal Lessebohus already has an agreement with the Swedish Migration Board on apartments for the refugees who have registered with the authority and are to be placed.

Since the war started, they have managed to free up another 34 apartments for the purpose - a total of 91 apartments in the municipality.
