The Welsh captain opened the scoring with a superb free kick (25th) before repeating with a shot from the skylight (51st), while Ben Davies deflected an attempt from Marcel Sabitzer in his own camp (65th).
The Welsh, who have not participated in a World Cup since 1958, will face in June the winner of the half between the Scots and the Ukrainians, postponed due to the Russian military invasion of Ukraine.
